Saw him like this in Karazhan in 2 places - on the way to Curator and near spiders. Also in HoV and ToV after the bridge. And does not matter which model you have used, he will transform to basic one (for me it was like this at least).
To bad there is no glyphs to make pets smaller

the glyph only works on your main pet, not hati. Its a shame because I use the triceratops pets and I find they can be rather large at times (especially with BW up)
