BM for life baby. If you mess up the debuff window for MM you are screwed.

Its impossible to mess up vuln window as long as you have a weakaura that tells you how many globals can you do depending on your haste levels, and every MM i know uses it. Also MM meme spec is actually a thing now, and its very very close to BM mobility.

can you provide a link to said weakaura? (preferably a la carte)

It's not messing up the rotation that's the problem, it's when the game mechanics force you to move during an AiS cast. Even if you know the fights well, there are still many random situations that occur, such as having a volcanic spawn under you, etc. With BM, you can cast 100% of your attacks on the run and hell, 90% can be done with your back to the target. One thing I hate about the Meme build with Explosive shot is that you have to physically aim your body at the target since the shot does not use the normal targeting mechanic. So, in many situations MM may be able to generate higher dps, but BM is competitive and a HELL of a lot more mobile.

I would also like a link for this weak aura

I get what you're saying. My main is sin rogue and all they do is tunnel and do the same rotation until the boss dies. I don't really want to do that again + range mechanics. So the MM playstyle and the decision making required really interests me and to some other people too.

I main MM for raiding and actually really enjoy how they have made us a true archer class. I've mained hunter since vanilla and have seen many variations of specs and talents and imo the current MM is one of the best Ive ever played. I get to switch up builds for multi target and single target which I enjoy. however, with 7.2 and ToS it looks like we are getting forced to play an aimed shot centric build which is not that exciting but lets wait and see how it pans out.

MM can do insane burst damage and can sustain very high dps on multi-target..excellent for M+ (can pull over 1m with a good tank) and Nighthold (spell, tich, skorp, bot are all 1m+ fights for MM with good gear)
For Single target there are better classes out there but we can still compete with the right gear.
MM target switching is very good and mobility can be good also depending on the build you go with.

Since I've reached 54 on MM I'm pumping AP into the other specs so have been playing around with surv purely because its different...problem with surv is that not many people want to take a melee hunter to raid when there are better melee classes out there so its more for fun.

BM was nice when I was learning elissande for its simplicity and mobility but I got bored with it quickly and it also depends on legendaries to be really good.

Try them all while levelling, do a few dungeons then choose the one you enjoy the most.

I'm leaning towards MM, always liked the idea of being an archer and not so much the beast taming part. The meme build is pretty interesting. People run that on ST? Looks pretty fun if you wanna blow multiple targets up. Why's it called the meme build LOL.
With 7.2 coming out in 1-2 weeks, there is no reason to learn meme build, it's a waste of time. As it won't be the strongest build in 7.2. Learn the proper build (Trickshot build) And no, people in 7.1.5 don't run meme build on ST unless they're trash.

Meme build would likely still see some use in fortified m+ weeks (Not tyrannical) same as now.

TL;DR Meme build was good non-ST but in 7.2 won't be. Don't bother with it now. Spend this time learning Trick Shot. Assuming you want to play MM.

If you want to play BM, for it to be stronger than MM, you need the legendary shoulders, but if you do have them, it's ez stronger than MM.

MM Meme spec won't be a thing anymore in 7.2 unless the hunter is a nub or it's insane aoe like fortified m+ weeks (Even then, TS build is close enough to it that the difference shouldn't be too much)
