Yeah, everyone got their guns, so no need for more. Especially after the hillary scare, I know a ton of people round here that got their carry license and weapons the few weeks leading up to the election when it looked like there was still a chance of hillary pulling the upset.

Although gun sales are down, gun ownership has not decreased. So really, there is nothing to be concerned about, or happy about.

This is not an accurate statement. A private property owner can still ask you to leave. What this does is remove the problem of making criminals out of people who would carry in previously government mandated restricted areas.

Georgia a few years ago did the same thing. You can still be told to leave by the private property owners.

Before Law: Government says you commit a crime whether the private property owner cares or not.
After Law: The decision is made by the private property owner if you are welcome or not.

Correct. Ohio just recently made their gun laws more sensible.

1. You can bring a firearm onto a school ground as long it stays in the automobile and the owner is in the process of dropping off or picking up a student.

2. You can bring a firearm into a bar, as long as you do not consume any alcoholic drinks.

3. A loaded handgun does not need to be locked up in a container when you are in your car ( if you have a conceal/carry permit ).

4. Active military members do not need a permit to carry a concealed handgun.

5. Employers can not prohibit employees from bringing firearms to their property as long as they are kept in the employees car , parked in the parking lot, locked up.

Which would be against a ruling by the Supreme Court which has already address city's banning handguns in the Heller case. They can not do it. So she is full of shit.

Its like Rick Santorum stating that he doesn't believe consenting adults have a right to privacy in their bedrooms, doesn't think married couples should be able to buy contraception, believes that all sexual activity should be restricted to procreative only and the government has the right to monitor your bedroom to make sure, and while he won't come take your guns he will come take your porn. But I wouldn't turn that around and infer that all Republicans are anti-blowjob and are going to take your porn away, because that's nonsense.

Eh bit of a difference though. The people Obama wanted to keep guns away from aren't the people who mass purchase firearms out of fear. I was working sporting goods at a suburban Wal-Mart in VA during the start of Obama's presidency and it was absolutely fucking absurd the amount of outright white trash and retirees that would roll in daily. They would line up before gun/ammo sales were even allowed, to blow hundreds of dollars on their limit of ammunition and purchase non stock firearms. They would practically always be talking about buying it now before the Muslims came for their guns, North Korea/Russian invasion prep, etc.

We went a year where our ammunition case was basically empty before noon, even after large delivery nights, and required strict changes to the sales policy to allow anyone else but this crazy mob to buy ammo.

Well duh, if you aren't fearful that the President or his party are going to try and take away your guns, you're not going to try and buy and stockpile them. Thus, sales will slump.

That's literally the reason why gun sales skyrocketed under Obama - people were fearful that the Democrats were going to try and ban the sale of firearms, so they went on a gun-buying frenzy for like 8 years. Now that Republicans are in control, there is virtually zero fear of the government trying to grab our guns.

Well, not just fear. Some people bought them as a way to say "fuck you and fuck off" to the anti-gun crowd.

Which is why I have been saying for years that conservatives and gun owners (a lot of overlap) are incredibly susceptible to propaganda, whether it be Russian, classic conservative bullshit, and paranoia from gun manufacturer's and their trade groups.
