Big news, more uncertainty for the pound and more clown fiesta politics with May v Corbyn no doubt.

At this point having new elections is like gambling.
Labour will position itself against a Brexit, and with that strategy they might lose or even win voters that would not traditionally vote for Labour.
Unless it's a clear landslide victory for the conservatives, nothing good will come from new elections. Even if labour remains at their current standing, or even only loses a little, Brexit negotiations - the internal british ones - will let chaos ensue.

Labour has no real position on Brexit. And it will be hard to explain why during the election campaign they are against it when they voted to trigger article 50. This election isn't about Torries winning, that's more or less a given fact now. The election is about doing as much damage to labour as possible. I think this election will be like a Hyena's fighting over who can strip a corpse of the most meat, the Hyena's being Cons,Lib dems and UKIP and the carcass being Labour.

But then again, this is the only solution towards this self-inflicted wound Cameron caused because of his love for power.

Whatever the Brexit side claims, they don't have a strong mandate given their small margin of victory, I expected that eventually the British government would have been forced to admit this and call for new snap elections.

Some of the damage might already have been done though, I wouldn't be surprised if major companies located in london would move regardless of the outcome just because they don't want to deal with any potential future brexit like talks, easier just to move to Germany or the Netherlands (wouldn't go to France for couple of reasons)
