    [Suggestion] Why I AdBlock MMO-C

I actually DON'T want to AdBlock you guys, I really don't, but when I see things like the below ad that are extremely distracting, blinding my eyes with very light colors, and shrink down the important stuff (you know, the whole reason I visit and discuss on your site), I can't help but Adblock it. You're practically begging me to when you have what might be the biggest ads I've ever seen on any website to the point of even being intrusive (making the text and main bulk of your website smaller compared to normal/when you AdBlock it).

Now, I labeled this as a suggestion thread because I'd like to suggest a few things:
    1. If you absolutely must have ads going down the entire length of the website, at least have the courtesy to not shrink the main pages I'm trying to access, whether that's the forum, news, or whatever.
    2. In addition to ^, please pick ads that don't have blinding colors.
    3. Even worse that I've seen, some of these sidebar ads animate. Please for the love of <insert deity of choice here>, don't have animated ads on the sidebars. That's beyond distracting and intrusive.

(Note: The only thing I edited out here was the MMO-C content. Nothing was actually resized or anything; look how small the normal content window is compared to the ad!!!)
Still wondering why I play this game.

so many crap ads here, sorry mmo-c but im never taking ad-block of same goes with wowhead but worst as it just eats your ram for some reason.

Edit: I'd be willing to pay a small fee like$2 month or $10-15 lifetime to have more privileges oh and of course the removal of ads.

Pretty much truth. If the adds werent so out of control it would be an easy white list.

Yeah, I'd love to support the site with adds, but it is the reason why I first got adblock. Too many adds set off virus/malware warning or run videos/music. The blaring loud adds that used to pop up at the bottom of the screen would wake ppl up at night if i had my speakers on or damn near deafen me if I had a headset on.

I would gladly support the site with a (one time, not subscription) $10-20 donation that removes ads and maybe some privs. I really do hate using AdBlock on a site I use literally every day and I do want to support it, but holy hell I can't when I'm blinded, extremely distracted, and can barely read the content I came to the site for every time I turn it off.

Also side-note: Going to Wowhead without AdBlock on loves to use up all of my Memory/CPU and even crashes WoW as soon as I visit it, though I think even MMO-C is starting to do that now too. It's nuts.

To be fair, the treatment offered at Hackensack Meridian Health really IS life years ahead.

And besides, whitelisting MMOC is not the only way to support it. You could always buy your next piece of hardware from Amazon.

Lol, this is nothing against them except their color choice. Seriously though, the color white should be illegal to be used in large areas of your screen. I actually have an extension that kinda works to eliminate whites/bright colors, but because MMO-C has both light AND dark sections, it tends to not fully work here :\

i heavily disagree with paying to remove ads, personally. but i'll just keep adblock on, so that wont be an issue. mmo-c and wowhead could just as easily use less invasive advertisements and solve many issues at once

If the moderation was better, I'd agree but having been infracted for "LOL"ing at a joke, no fucking way would I pay for this site.

Yeah, those are a little distracting. You shouldn't be seeing that ad if you were adblocking and then whitelisted us though. Did you whitelist after blocking or...

Idk if it's whitelisting or not cuz I'm a lazy shit, but I "whitelist" by just disabling AdBlockPlus for the website (clicking the extension button on Chrome and clicking the "Enabled on this site" button which swaps it to "Disabled for this site").
Still wondering why I play this game.

I adblock MMO-C because pages take 4-5x longer to load if I don't... Adds absolutely should not increase load times that much.

The "shrinking content" thing can be solved by zooming in the webpage a bit (shift scroll up).

My issue is more along the lines of, every time I whitelist MMO-C my virus scanners go berserk the next time I load it up. I love you guys but I'm not gonna risk my hard drive for it.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

Tired of hearing the same ad play over and over as I navigate MMO-C. Not enabling ads, that shit is annoying. Also, I like it when my pages load at a decent speed.

I'm willing to monetarily support the site, but I will never do it by enabling ads.

I removed MMO-C from blacklist when the new prompt appeared thinking "hey if they ask me to un-blacklist them they must have changed"

Had a good laugh, and put them back into blacklist forever. Never go full retard, but they'll never understand.
And to be clear I was a curse premium until the twitch app stupidity. Wouldn't mind paying 40-50$/year for MMOC without any adds. I can pay for content, I just dont want adds plastered everywhere.

Yeah, it really is one of the worst sites out there, when it comes to adds.
I removed the addblock for 30 sec and that was enough to never whitelist them again.

I do not adblock mmo-c. I adblock wowhead, as that site admin thinks to be smart when using the search bar for redirecting to new windows containing spam.

Not sure if it's ADP or NoScript affecting things, but I've noticed for a while now that "carriage return" (the "Enter" key) no longer equates to a break in a paragraph. I've been using the html *P* for a week now at least to clean up my posts.
