He is and always has been a total scumbag. This is what he said about visiting Sylvia's restaurant in Harlem. Now in most places you'd be fired for saying something like this but it's Fox News so his viewers will have lapped it up.

I retired from Fox TV years ago. I did not work for Fox News.

Over those years I had seen many TV scandals, including at the station I worked at, and to some degree, the scandal was reported on locally, or even nationally. Isn't it funny that FOX NEWS web page has not a single word - as of this writing - about Bill O'Rielly being canned? Not as single word.

We had incidents with local FOX people, and they were always reported by us..... not like we spent a lot of time on them, but they at least got mentioned. But FOX NEWS / O'Rielly? Nada, zip, nothing.

It was on the front page yesterday. 2 Stories actually, one noting the program changed. Did you not see it or did you do a Brian Williams and miss remembered?

O'Reilly treated any guest who didn't give him what he wanted like total trash. It happened with Marilyn Manson. It happened with that kid whose father died in 9/11. It happened with Colin Powell even. He never even tried to hide the fact that he was plainly pushing an agenda and had no qualms about spinning stories or disregarding evidence as necessary to do so. If people can really watch his show with an open mind and walk away with the impression that this guy is the exemplar of "fair and balanced," we are all incredibly fucked.

He always had people with opposing viewpoints to challenge him. I didn't say he was a nice guy or host.

I watch FS1 a lot. Partial cuz fuck ESPN as much as possible. Also, i like the Big 12, so i'd watch most Oklahoma State games and then the UFC there. I really don't associate it with Fox as a whole.

Having opposing viewpoints on is only the first step towards being fair and balanced, but it doesn't mean much in the absence of intellectual honesty. He wasn't having people on to actually get both sides of the story or out of any concern for the truth. He brought people on to trash them in front of his fans, presumably so they could feel like they were vicariously sticking it to their political opponents. It's pretty much a public execution in the form of a talk show.

He was pretty fair to Manson, I thought it was a good interview. He asked tough questions in a bold way, he was a dick. But his show wasn't a circle jerk, and he had smart people from the left on all the time

To be fair, 99% of rap songs are nothing but a huge pile of trash anyway. How this genre of music ever made it to be as popular as it is now is beyond me. A lot of low IQ people out there I guess.

99% of all music is garbage, so i hardly see the point. most rap is created cause it sounds good, if it makes sense as well, then huge plus. and if we're talking about IQ, im sure mine puts many including yours to shame. you can tell from the writing when somebody tries too hard and it doesnt come natural to them.

So you're telling me that most rappers rap about in truth? In that case I have a bridge that I can sell you. Most rap is bravado. That what is truthful tends in a emotional sense, not literally. Watch the video at the top of this page. This is how FOX made the announcement on TV..... they never once said he was fired in this video. They totally sidestepped the issue.
