learning ranks in herbalism in another toon

i am leveling herb on a pally, on another server and faction (its horde) and my rogue that are herb is at ally side, other server, and got all rank 3.

does anyone know if i buy the tome to relearn ranks from herb supplies it will learn the rank 3 from rogue on pally, or i really need to grind all the way to rank 3 on my pally ??

grind , the book is only if you dropped the profession on that toon and picked it back up

They are 2 different toons, so you need to grind your ranks again
