    Loot idea for the future

    It's probably too late to implement this in this expansion, but I think it's a much better system for next expansions.

    Warforged/titanforged - gone.

    If you don't get a loot from a boss you can get:
    An item that lets you increase a single piece of gear by 1-5 item levels, you can use it multiple times on the same piece of gear, but in total the maximum ilvl increase is 15, so it can't pass the ilvl from a harder difficulty raid.
    An item that enables to put a socket in a single piece of gear. So maybe, there are no sockets by default, but it's possible to put a socket in every piece of gear.
    An items that enables you to add a tertiary stat to a single piece of gear.
    You can use all of these 3 things on each piece of gear, so it's possible to reach a +15ilvl item with a socket and tertiary stat.

    One other thing - if you get the same item from a higher difficulty, and you already upgraded the old one, the new item will keep the same upgrades, so you won't feel that you have wasted the upgrades.

    This removes a lot of the RNG, and your character will be stronger each week, even if you haven't got any useful loot.

    This will be hard to do with the current tech, as all drops are considered new items, not upgrades of existing ones.

    Until you reach the point where you cannot get more of either upgrade, at which point you will still not be able to progress. A system that continuously makes you stronger each week, needs a cap that is unreachable in the near future. Caps like you suggested are only worth a few weeks once you reach the maximum itemlevel drop and need to wait for the upgrades. Something like Concordance is far better. It's achievable eventually, but you will not be capped during this expansion.

    I don't really see this working out that well. For one thing you didn't get rid of the rng you just changed it in such a way it makes it mandatory to go each week so you don't fall behind. This also would make it so people feel it's required to do lower difficulties and depending on how it's implemented maybe even all four difficulties every week.

    jesus just make the gear how it used to be.. but give more gear overall by adding more content.. just remove titanforged bs and make raid gear actually the best gear like it used to be..

    also remove this garbage PVP gearing/template stats system jesus its so boring and dumb, just make the system literally the way it was.. win the game > get points > spend points on gear..

    also fuck AP grind..

    We could always go back to the MoP/WoD systems where you spend a resource that you get from raids/mythic dungeons to upgrade gear to a cap. That was fun right? Right?

    Yeah me either.

    You would also find yourself cursing loot that dropped that wasn't an upgrade even more now, as since loot as dropped you wouldn't be getting the upgrade to your current gear, either.
