Nightfall proc was the best, so satisfying.
I'd also like the option to have all the core spells in one build : Drain life, Shadow Bolt, Immolation, Agony, Corruption. I'd use this baseline and add specialisation spells on top of these.
Hellfire was also so cool, but I understand it's easily overpowered or useless.

Because, obviously, from the FIVE spells I listed, you have to jump to FIFTY for some reason.
Good for you if you like the current Affliction, but stop denigrating others (in a what's YOUR warlock thread) who prefer playing with Shadow bolt and Immolation on the same build, which is nowhere close to a big mess in itself. They could totally make interesting specs with these core spells without having countless unused spells gathering dust in the spell book.
And if you can't understand the appeal of having these two signatures spells at the same time, I feel sorry for you and for this game.

Affliction: No pet, DoT's with a damage amplifier debuff, a shard dump like haunt that does increased damage based on the number of DoT's. none of this turrent drain rubbish.

Demonology: Pets, Pets and more Pets with a Meta like CD that allows you to summon stronger demons for a short duration.

Destruction: should be more of a Fel warlock (similar to Gul'dan), instead of a half-breed fire mage.

Just my musing on the subject.

I'm torn... I miss the old SM/DS that could lay waste to whole armies landing a few dots and moving from target to target. also drain tanking.... you don't know how funny it is watching a target waste their interrupt on the wrong spell school and then blatantly shoving a drain life in their face and the combined life drain from all your effects out heals their damage.

At the same time... i think it was wrath/cata timeframe where they allowed demonology to turn into a real beast tank wise and it stuck around on into MoP? I loved that build even though they gutted demonic sacrifice.

Yep, both DB and without DB was fun to play. I only disliked playing without DB during the start of an encounter when you wanted to Meta and spam Soulfires and never had enough SF procs to make it feel worth it.

Oh and I would not miss shadowflame stacking.

TBC Destro - Yes it was simple, easy rotation. However I found it fun just being able to sit back, spam the hell out of shadowbolt and enjoy the banter on voice coms. Totally understand why the 0/21/40 crit build had to be fixed, as with the right gear it was completely over powered.

MOP Affliction. Multi dotting was perfect in this expansion.

In all honesty, I would be content to play the current Destruction spec forever if they would just get rid of Havoc. It's such a stupid, gimmicky spell that needs to go. Give us something else to AOE/cleave with, and I'll be happy.

That said, I also miss the old "drain tank" Affliction playstyle where you just used your Imp as a mana battery. Those were the days.

My Warlock wud be old Demo pre-hfc changes. It was defo the most enjoyable spec.

Being able to cast Rain of Fire at your target instead of having to place it. It would also be nice to have Spell Lock baseline, and not attached to my pet.

@muto, Have you tried using an @cursor or an @Target macro? I use an @cursor macro, makes RoF very fun and easily spam-able with soul conduit procs

For me there are a couple of things. Destro going back to ToT style of play with CB being the hardest hitting spell in the game.

Demonology, either a true tank spec or the insane demon summoning that the Class Trinket from HFC provided during Legion launch with the ability to summon bigger demons thrown in.

I also want the original Cata Dark Intent. I wouldn't mind a spell like Army of the Dead but for demons, you summon a giant meteor that just bursts open with an Infernal an imps and dreadstalkers.

Even in our wildest dreams that will never happen. Of course I'd like if they would just stop beating Demonology every few seconds despite the fact that none of the nerfs have been justifiable.
