Anything we can do about a trigger happy mod?

It seems like a problem for the Off Topic forum if we have a mod closing as many threads as they can as if it is a competition.

I mean if a thread isn't good, nobody will post in it and it will fall to the lower pages. But to just close anything that might be close to a forbidden topic seems like abuse of power.

This is not the place to discuss moderation, we ask people to take things like this up with a global mod in private if they have an issue.

As to this particular issue: We close threads we feel are not productive or are in some way breaking our rules. There's not been a change in that. If there happens to be any specific thread you feel shouldn't have been closed then feel free to bring it to a global for review. Usually the reasoning fo rthe closure will be explained in the closing message already though and there will be little for us to add to that.
