We thought it was time for a politics subforum, so here it is.

What Goes Here?

Threads that focus on current governments, leaders, political parties, etc. We realise there are a lot of social issues that are also political in nature or have political implications, but those should remain in General Off-Topic since they are about more than just politics. This is more for Politics™-with-a-capital-P.

Examples of topics that should be here: Discussion of world leaders or politicians like Merkel/Trump/Erdogan, etc, partisan topics, political parties, European Union, UN, elections, foreign policy, etc.

Examples of topics that are fine to leave in GenOT: Immigration, gun control, ISIS, economic class, social aid/welfare programs, etc.

If you're not sure, you can always ask a mod of one of those forums. We recognise that there are some topics that straddle multiple areas. If in doubt, put it in GenOT. We can always move it if we disagree or the discussion within the thread drifts to be more political in nature.

Politics Forum Rules

Forbidden Topics
...keep in mind the post contents/subjects that are not allowed:

• Posts that contribute nothing ("what does this have to do with WoW" etc)
• Meme replies (LOL, TL;DR, OVER 9000, /thread etc)
• Image macros and image memes
• "Do my homework for me" threads. (Asking for a push in the right direction is ok.)
• Religion
• Race/Ethnicity
• Nationalism and nation bashing
• Medical Advice
• Abortion
• Circumcision/FGM
• Conspiracies
• Sexually-explicit/Nudity
• Sexuality, Gender, Gender identity
• Dating/Romance/Relationships
• Graphic violence or gore images/videos
• Content that is dangerous or considered illegal

* Important: While constructive criticism of political leaders/policies/parties in discussion is fine when expressed in a reasonable fashion and/or is supported, national or partisan bashing is not allowed.

As always, the moderation team reserves the right to pass judgement on any thread or post within the forum.


Reporting Bad Posts

If you see something that is inappropriate, out of line, offensive or breaks the rules stated above, please report it. This option is far better than responding, which bumps the thread and perpetuates the issues. Remember, calling someone else a troll is against the rules.

How do I report?
At the bottom-right corner of every post, you'll find the report button (http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/b...report-40b.png). It will take you to an entry box where you can describe the problem with the post. Our mod team is then notified immediately via email and can take action.

Keep in mind that the report feature is intended to be used on posts that break the rules, not to report posts that you disagree with. Abuse of the system will carry consequences.
