I did quite a lot of design work for buildings in Hawaii and people might be surprised at the high crime in some of the areas.
Laupahoehoe and Paaiulo on the Big Island are pretty good. As well as Makaweli, Hanalei, Kilauea all on Kauai. There are a few low crime areas on Oahu too. Which island do you plan on staying?
