The time paradox is just to stupid.

Ashi dies because without Aku she wouldn't exist. If Ashi didn't exist, Jack would have never gone back in time to kill Aku. The only way this is recoverable is if Genndy is writing a season 6 where the results of this paradox come full circle.

If Aku is dead there would be several portals to go back in time in the future.
Jack found several of them in previous seasons but Aku destroyed them right in front of Jack.
