Oh no, that's not what i meant, more like what other festivals we have in europe that would blow their socialist fearing minds.

This is what happens when a village is randomly chosen by people to have a festival in and doesn't reject the idea with all their might. It could be any village in the world, but most of them reject festivals and try to oppose them at every corner, restricting them as much as they can.

Hardly surprising though. I mean most villages have a population that has jobs in the surrounding area. People just want to be left alone and not have their town turned into a giant landfill after such a festival is over. That some people actually made a buisness out of it is hardly the norm and usually restricted to a few profiteers as well (see Wiesn).

Um, that beer still has to be moved. Do you think they build a pipeline directly to the brewery? We like beer, but that's just insane. Those barrels still have to be carted to wherever the pipeline begins. Only the barrels will probably be lorries. And those lorries will still have to be handled by workers. And before you say it, nope, those barrels weren't lugged around by professional "barrel-luggers".

The brewery is like 1km away from the festival entrance, so who knows? Although it's on the other side of the street.

It was like 150-160k over three days.

There was one community garden hose for water and one park drinking fountain. They were both located at the same spot.

    Bottled water was $5, lemonade $9.50, beer $10, wine $10, soda $7.

Over three days the weather was 85-93 degrees with humidity around 60-80%. No trees or shade were provided near the stage areas. People were passing out and had to evacuated from the crowd all day long. Security guards threw water bottles and sprayed us with hoses to cool us.

The crowd for The Original Misfits was the largest crush of humanity I have ever seen and been apart of in my lifetime. I was in NYC during 911.

That's comparable to the size of nova rock, but nova rock is near a village of 1700 people and riot fest is within a fucking city?! Just how bad can festival organization be?

Hmm Donauinselfest in vienna attracts about 3 million people over three days. Chicago could learn a thing or two.

I smiled a bit thinking of a future where we have beer piped to our homes that we can pay for as another utility. Please happen.
