A better question would be: "Will you kill/fight for your country?". I think the vast majority of any military personnel is willing to fight and kill for their country, and while they do know the risk of doing so, they are not exactly willing to die. If going to the middle east meant a 100% chance of death, i doubt we would have any soldiers willing to go there.

No. I will die for good ideals and that may mean for my country if my country follows those moral ideals. That is the path of patriotism.
I will not die for a country just because I happen to live there. I will not die for a country that holds immorality as a high standard. That is the path of nationalism.
