Dating pages/app, weird behavior?

I've noticed that some people are desperate to get off the page/app to use snapchat or some other app to communicate with eachother. Why are they doing this? Is it because they want to send lewd pictures and would get banned on the dating apps for doing so?

It's more than likely they find that other messaging apps are better.

Because they want to make sure you're not a fraud.
They also want to check your social media presence to find out if you're a weirdo.
Low snapchat score = creepy
