Separation Anxiety When your pet is further than 25 yards away from you, it gains up to 50% additional movement speed and 20% 25% damage reduction. Effect increased when your pet is further away from you. Beast Mastery Hunter - Tier 4 PvP Talent.

So, we get a choice to REDUCE our damage.... what? And it's not even at 40++ yards away for damage reduction, we get penalized for moving half of maximum range.

To me that sounds like a damage intake reduction not a damage out reduction. I could be wrong though.

You are reading the talent wrong. The pet takes less damage when it is away from you.

and uhm... when ... would u ever use that? unless damage is increased as well.
