he deals with there being multi-tanks in the meta and multi-support with the anti-healing.
As much as I like the design of Malthael, I really hope they give us a rest will all the assassins for a while. We need a new support.
You make it sound like we've been getting nothing but assassins lately...when out of the 5 most recently released heroes, only 2 of them(Genji and Cassia) have been assassins. There's also been a warrior(D.Va), a support(Lucio), and a specialist(Probius). Sure, a new support is fine, but you have to keep in mind, there are a LOT of players who don't like to(or flat out won't) play support(cause, for better or for worse, a lot of people are all about the damage), so there's always gonna be fewer of them released than there are assassins. Personally, I'd like to see another full on tank released myself, or another "weird" specialist like Abathur...
Agreed. It's odd that at least 1/2 the replied to this thread are about how we haven't had a support in ages, when in reality it's not been THAT long since we got one.
Whereas, we've not had a tank since Johanna. All the warriors that have been released since have been bruisers.

People keep asking for new support.
Do you want more OW characters?
Cause thats how you get more OW characters. (Ana)
Yeah, those ideas seem cool.
Just my initial point was Tanks and Healers are tougher to design as they don't provide as much freedom. This might be tricky situation because if you make niche Healer or Tank, people will eventually complain because they expect those two roles to fill any team.
I personally like the niche kits on Healers, but it is dangerous because those Heroes are rarely optimal picks especially when people are bored playing standard Healers like Malfurion and Rehgar. Malfurion is seeing so much play because he is broken.
I wish they made Supports more fun to play, for me Kharazim is the only truly fun support to play because Healing is not the centre of his kit. They really need to work on some combos from heals that deal damage. Like for example you heal a target and place some mark on them, if you use your next ability with some other effect, it triggers an AoE damage. It doesn't have to be a lot of damage, but doing something other than just healing is fun.
I'm excited for Malthael. It's great to see a new tankbuster assassin that isn't ranged and isn't focused on pumping out as many AAs as possible for their giant killer mechanic, and he's also kind of special in the sense that he has virtually no burst damage, outside of finishing people with his R2. It's unusual to see low-burst assassins these days, and he's going to be a unique presence in lanes and teamfights.
As for what comes next, I'd like to see another full tank (more Johanna, less D.Va) and another healing support. Not because I play a lot of either, but because those two parts of the roster really could do with a bit more fleshing out.

Malthael Spotlight
I see mistakes in initial post, the whole background thing is written on a wrong assumptions. Angels and Demons are black and white. They are order and chaos and can't act beyond these boundaries. Trag'Oul is about balance. Malthael acted like a good angel should.
And yes, I'm hyped for him. Yay! Let's kill them all!
I see that Resurgence of the Storm kinda makes a return with one of Malthael's lvl 20 talents.

So I have played Malthael. He seems very good vs heavy tank comps, but I have no idea how you are going to initiate on a range dps.
