    I meant that SMT or HT is weaker then an actual core not which of the 2 implementations is the best.

    I think that it's always worthwhile to discuss if it's wise to pay an extra amount of money for a very little gain of power, either it's CPUs, graphic cards or cars.

    Because they don't offer the best price-performance ratio.

    For just a little more money you can buy a 1600 or 1600X. They offer potentially much better performance and even if you're on a low budget they are the better buy.
