~$2000 build questions. Also would like opinions.

    Budget: ~$2000
Resolution: Likely just 1440, possibly 4K
Games / Settings Desired: Basically most any game at high settings. Not a single game system.
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): Not currently.
    Country: United States
Parts that can be reused: None. Fresh build.
Do you need an OS? Yes.
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? Not immediately, but would love suggestions on monitors.

So that's what I'm sitting on right now.

I see there's an issue with the case and length of the 1080 Ti possibly, but will it actually block any bay drives that I will be using for the HD and SSD? I can't imagine needing more than that, so as long as those can still go in I don't see the problem. (But I'm always open to case suggestions.) Assuming this case is fine, would it be recommended to buy fans for it, or will the stock fans suffice?

Aside from that, I mainly would just like more experienced people to go over the build for approval essentially. I know several parts are essentially go-to parts and highly recommended, but I am somewhat unsure on the motherboard and CPU cooler.

    Thanks in advance!

Here is link for CPU cooler, pcpartpicker does not have it listed properly:
    https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0006-_-Product

Dont worry about the compatibility notes, drive cages are modular they can be moved/removed for larger GPU's.

Also, get windows 10 from kinguin.

Good suggestions so far, I appreciate it.

I was sort of leaning towards a regular CPU Cooler, rather than going liquid cooling. Mostly due to paranoia from never having messed with them.

For the SSD, I'm seeing the Samsung benchmarking higher. Are other suggestions just for shaving off money with no practical difference in performance?

I like that y'all agreed on the motherboard between your builds. It was the other one I had been looking at actually.

Thanks for suggesting Kinguin, that's quite a bit cheaper.

Samsung drives do benchmark faster, but you wouldnt notice it in day to day. Its fine tho if you wanna spend the extra ~30 bucks. H5 ultimate performs closer to 90 dollar heatsinks than it does 30 dollar ones, and is probably the easiest install on the market:

Seems simple and I like the sound of that performance. Thanks!

I appreciate all the help and suggestions. Will definitely make some changes and hopefully get this thing ordered tomorrow.
