Ok, now what will you do when this happens.

A trespasser walks into your property and then got into the house. You have a wife, 2 daughter. You don't know whether he is armed, or alone. Now, he ties your wife and kids up, turns out the guy is a rapist and murderer. What would you do? Call Police? Wait for Police to get here, and by the time they get here, your wife, kids, raped and murdered. And he lets you live.

What would you do if THAT happens? Since you said no guns, you cannot have self defence either. What do you do?
Shouldn't the question be "why does this kind of insanity happen in my country seemingly every other day?"

See your people have steeped themselves so deeply in gun culture from everything to video games, john wayne movies, war, the news, etc, that your minds have broken.

You have literally made the excuse "my neighbour is dangerous" into such a reality, that NOT owning a gun in your country is the real crazy thing...

A gun is nothing more than an instrument that launches a projectile in a controlled and predictable manner.

I love how gun advocates are always thinking of how to make simple tools like knives or cars into impliments of death.

It is a glimpse into how their minds work.

They should! Hell they should allowed to have nuclear weapons, just in case someone fucks with them.

A ton or more of metal moving @ high speeds. Don't require much thinking to figure out how its dangerous.

Knife...dangerous.....YOU MEAN ITS ORIGINAL PURPOSE?!?!?!? Wtf you think a sharp pointy piece of metal is intended to do besides cut, stab, and seperate meat, hide, manipulate materials, kill animals easier etc .... Yea totally a simple everyday harmless object how dare we concoct ways to hurt you with it >.>.

Except you can't skin a deer, spread butter, or go downtown for a hamburger in your gun....

The gun was made for the purpose of killing.

Go ahead and argue hunting, but you only need a rifle or a crossbow, not an M-16 or viles of Weaponized Anthrax...

meh, I find both to be equally prone to bursts of dismissal and laughter.

Who needs a gun when you have a truck and a knife.

So all of those deaths were caused deliberately by those tools listed above?

The number of poisoners in your country is scary as shit, wtf.

And why is everyone in your country running people down on purpose in their cars, jesus christ!

Never, because that just doesn't happen. Guns are a shitty self defense solution because they force you into a situation where you can't use force without killing. Knives don't even compare because at least they have some purpose other than killing people. Selling specialized killing tools to civilians is just dumb as hell.

Guns don't kill people, but they make killing someone way too easy. We don't sell nukes, drones and tanks for self defense. Why do we sell guns?
You know if you restrict it from civilians, criminals are going to get them anyway, and that just makes it even worse. How well is restricting pot from people working hmm? If people want it they will get it.

So explain how the US, which is pretty much the only developed Western nation without proper gun control, has about quadruple the homicide rate of its peers?

We instituted massive gun controls after the Port Arthur massacre and haven't had a mass shooting since. Our homicide rate is about a quarter yours as well.

It's fascinating to break down the homicide rate by race in the US, but of course that doesn't fit with most peoples narrative so it's rarely mentioned.

Race in the US is heavily correlated with economic class, and therefore crime. Red herring.

even less when crime vs income is brought up? oh right that's treated pretty much the same for other peoples narratives. funny how that works.
