Bigwigs Emphasized messages

Hey all,

Been trying to get my emphasized messages with bigwigs changed so they look like the screenshot. I've asked the streamer and was told to download a font and stick it in the wow directory and that's it. However, I can't seem to get it to work.

I've fiddled with the emphasized messages settings but all that changes is the countdown number in the center of my screen.

Any help would be great.

Outside of what you've been told (font in correct directly) and making sure you've got the path set to said font, I'm not sure what else to tell you.
Is the font not appearing in the list? Is name appearing but wrong font showing?

Yeah, the font is showing in the list. I'm 99% confident I've installed the font in the right location. I guess my main issue really is that I can't adjust any of the settings for emphasized messages, save for the countdown timer number. All of the other settings for bars, fonts, sizes, location etc all work fine, just not the empha messages. I tried to have a look at the LUA stuff but that's really way beyond my knowledge.

Basically you are going to need to setup either shared media or edit bigwigs to register the font (not at all recommended, in fact don't do it). Unless you plan on making that your default font for pretty much most of your text

The only other option if you only want that font for emphasized messages is setting up shared media

There is a file once installed called INSTRUCTIONS for MyMedia.txt that explains how to setup a "SharedMedia_MyMedia" folder and add fonts (requires basic understanding of folder structures/wow addon directories and how to run a batch file)

Hey all,

Just thought I'd post to say I got it working. I found that if I made a change to the messages/emphasized messages and relogged, it would actually implement the changes. So through many relogs, I managed to get a very similar set-up as in the screenshot.

Just for future reference, the same would've probably applied by just reloading your UI Might have saved you a chunk of time spent relogging.

No, since that's provided by an addon, not the game. The game provides /reload as a shorter method.

This will be fixed next release so changes are instant.

Reloads didn't work. Had to physically log out and log back in. Why that is, I don't know.

That doesn't really make sense. Regardless, it should work instantly now. Let me know if it doesn't.
