Getting gear at level 110

OP says they are trying to pug, but keep getting declined, and the first 6 comments are saying to group up.

Actually, the very first reply, which others have echoed, told the OP to form his own group. By doing so, there will be nobody to decline him for having low ilevel. Saying group up is a perfectly valid response to the issue, as you do not have to be the grunt, but can be the general.

Actually wrong. He/she's whinning. Not the same at all. I just leveled a warrior alt to 110 last friday. I'm only 857 ilvl, allready did 7 MM+ up to a DHT+7 as a fury warrior. Would obviously be even more if I actually played prot (was the plan as warrior is the last tank I don't have raid ready, but I'm in love with the fury spec currently)

There is only 3 options when you are a solo undergeared DPS :

1)fastest : play healer or tank. All my alts are tanks, my main too. Its stupidly easy to be in a normal raid 2-3 weeks after reaching 110. Even if that's not what you want to play, keep your loot spec as DPS and grind it that way.
2)the "hard" way : grind those low key, MM+0, time walker weekly, and even some heroics dungeon (my warrior got a 880 TF on her first heroic...). Apply to every single group you see in the list. In the end one will take you. If you have a key, make your own group. Also make one for every single MM+0 with an expedition (way easier to find a healer/tank)
3) the pathetic way : come cry on internet forums about how this game sux and everything should be given to you. And by the way, nobody care. Really.

Nether Disruptor world bosses drop 900+ gear. It's not perfectly itemized of course but a 20 ilvl increase is probably going to be an upgrade regardless of what the secondary stats are.

Crafted gear goes up to 900 now. If you play Alliance I'm sure my m+ group can bring you along for some 5 - 10 keys some time. We're usually full with guildies from 12 - 15s but we can see what happen. PM me.

As two people have already mentioned...

Crafted, Crafted, Crafted.

Get Bloodhunter enchants (if you're doing alts now too) on your Alts the moment they hit 100, to get a jump on your Blood collection.
Do all WQs that rewards Bloods
Dungeons provide Bloods.

The base crafted gear sells cheap, so just hit the AH looking for the ones with perfect stats, or craft it yourself if you can and have the mats.

Crafted goes to 900, and that can cover basically every slot (all but 2nd trinket & relics) - even the 2nd Trinket if you are an Alchemist (though its not the bestest trinket, its still a decent stat stick).

Do your Emissaries every day for leggo chances. Its not hard to get 2.

Do Broken Shore everything (particularly the mini-bosses, which often drop 200+ shards) and fly around and open the chests constantly (they offer about 40-100 shards).

You can get 3 880 relics and a 2nd trinket in no time.

And, do the Broken Shore world bosses when the Nether Disrupter is up - they drop 900.

I dont raid, and only Mythic + once a week usually on one just one or two toons, when i run a few with friends (and we often dont get far enough that im likely to get upgrades anyway) - and all 5 of my toons are 910+, which, for a non-raider who just does M+ with friends some times, is perfectly fine. Its the same as normal-mode raiding iLevel or a little better, and that's good enough.

Hey Ealyssa, I appreciate your feedback but i think you miss-read my posts. I came here to ask for hints on how people gear up nowadays, since I've been away from the game for the past 8 months and everyone around me seems to be 900+ ilvl I was wondering what's the best way to reach that ilvl.

I never said I want gear for free, in fact I clearly said I do want to work my way up to get better gear, doing whatever step is necessary. I'm sorry I gave the impression I was crying / whining, it clearly wasn't my intention and the point of this post.

Going tank / healer like you said, unfortunately is not a valid option for me as the character I'm playing is a rogue.
