Evil guy on the right looks like Symmetra's boss. Might be foreshadowing at her story involving Sombra, and uncovering corruption in Vishkar.

True, but the "totally purple woman with long black hair and incredibly distinctive tattoos" can't fit too many descriptions, especially when widowmaker is presumably wanted by international police for acts of terrorism and murder.

I don't see winston going undercover.

Widowmaker was a world famous ballet dancer, if she can't go incognito that'd be why. The fact she's now an assassin probably is much less well known, canonically Ana is the only one who suspects her of anything, because she tried to kill her but she has no proof and spent years feigning death - so she's not in a position to throw around accusations.

We can assume much of her work is clean, no witnesses. Her run ins with OW since, well, OW aren't allowed to get involved, they're disbanded and liable to get in to as much trouble for officially getting involved even if they do know something, and only Tracer is really in a position to recognise her again.

She appeared all over security while trying to take the doomfist gauntlet, and Tracer met her face to face a second time when she assassinated Mondatta. Tracer is living easy as she pleases in London (as in, isn't in hiding) and could easily identify Widow as the one who killed Mondatta.

And the authorities would be like, "so you were shooting the place up too, huh?"

As 76 points out to Winston: "You're one to talk, you and your friends are breaking the law, same as me."

Whatever they might know, they're not in any official position to say or do anything without incriminating themselves. That's probably why Widow leaves Tracer alive as part of her taunting. None of that was on camera.

Anything on camera in the museum will have been as bad for OW as it was for Talon, it probably got deleted by Sombra or Athena; assuming it wasn't shut down to start with.

She already called it out to the authorities. She's also unlikely to have just sat on the information to potentially save her own orange-clad butt; that's quite out of character.

And what, exactly, would Tracer be incriminated for? Running around on rooftops?

The newly acting agents of Overwatch don't seem to be too discrete in their dealings, if the Museum is anything to go by.

We have no proof of that having happened. Plus there were... you know, witnesses.

She called it out hoping the many guards would stop it. They didn't.

A lot of dead guards, a massive firefight in which she used her signature pulse bomb and pistols, which aren't standard kit for said guards.

They're fully aware what they're doing is illegal, it's fairly reasonable to think that both Talon, and Overwatch following them, would take the necessary precautions to not get caught. Which would also explain why Tracer is able to live free in London.

Sure, but she didn't kill any of the guards. She's a former member of Overwatch, presumably in good standing, who still has access to her old technology. As I said, telling the authorities about the whole "There's a purple murderer with a sniper rifle running around in spandex that's twice attempted to pull some seriously sketchy stuff" probably outweighs the whole "well you really shouldn't have been on those rooftops..." talking-to she might get.

Despite the numerous parallels to The Incredibles, it appears that, unless they had to fake their own death, the more outlandish members of Overwatch aren't "laying low" by living under assumed identities. Reinhardt is crusading around, Torbjorn took on that giant mech alone and is now doing something with Bastion, Winston can't HELP but be conspicuous in everything he does, Mercy is still out helping people with her Valkyrie gear, and Mei is trying to access the old ecopoints for data. Genji is off doing his own thing in Nepal. The only one legitimately trying to fly under the radar seems to be Mccree, and that's probably because he was a member of blackwatch.

...Which begs the question of why it was so hard for reaper to find them or why he needed to steal data from Watchpoint Gibraltar.

She's a former agent of Overwatch who walks around with a chronal accelerator on her chest and freely uses her powers in London. She's not "inconspicuous" about who she is. Hell she walks around in her Overwatch gear.

As for Talon being inconspicuous, Doomfist and Reaper certainly aren't, and don't seem to care about maintaining any air of secrecy when they show up and wreck a place.

Of course, all of this is immaterial, because it's confirmed lore that the museum footage was seen by governments of the world and that widowmaker was indeed caught on camera:

So again, I reiterate: Purple lady with tattoos? Not inconspicuous.

Maybe it's an incredibly popular cosplay.

You link an article that says right there that they've "gone Rogue" and are "operating in the shadows". Their actions might be conspicuous but they're not moving in circles where they're likely to get turned in. Tracer still has public support, so she can probably get around easier.

Exactly the same for Talon. You don't think either the casino or ball were attended the entirely law abiding public, do you? And let's not forget Talon were supported by a lot of governments in their task of trying to get OW disbanded. They're not without high level backers who can help them move freely.

Also, hell yes I hope we get those skins. Especially the Sombra Harlequin one; Red Death is really nice too but I don't play much Reaper.

Widowmaker also has a pink/red recolour/rework of Odette/Odile on the cover too so I'm wondering if she'll get that.
They would have to. Or you would have to guess where to shoot the target to land a hit/crit, which is seriously bad gameplay.

Or shrink the characters to keep the hitbox size, with the side effect of having them look comically small.

I'll not be using Red Death Reaper, if it's red it's dead. At a distance everyone is red, but up close I try to wear skins that are not brightly colored... pumpkin head Reaper seemed to attract headshots on me. I just stick with black.
If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do. The fault lies in your inability to make friends to play with instead of relying on a button designed to be random. It is a 'random group' button, not a 'best of the best' button.

in regards to the widowmaker thing, all that back and forth about if she's recognizable and about overwatch being criminals is all beside the point.

the anwer to the question "wouldnt WIdowmaker be recognized?" is "we dont know"
thats it. Case closed. Conversation over.nothing about this is relevant.

when you write you give information that you want the reader to know. Everything else is 'behind the scenes" We can assume that a certain amount of time was taken to get to Italy. we can assume that Talon knows what they are doing. we can assume if there are noisemakers in those bells of sombra that she has a way to cloak the sound or planned on disabling anyone who heard it before they could react.

Its important to recognize that the information at this time is unimportant. It doesnt matter to the story right now if she's recognized or not. especially considering we dont know the context of the situation.
-as far as we know everyone in that casino knows who she is
-as far as we know that is a black market casino
-as far as we know everyone there is a wanted felon who wouldnt go to the authorities because one more murderer arrived
-as far as we know only federal military knows who she is meaning private security and state based police forces dont.
-as far as we know police were dispatched but they didnt arrive in time
-as far as we know Talon knew the fastest and average response times and knew how long they could act publically before police arrived
-as far as we know since Talon wants to sew chaos that they deliberately put on a huge dramatic show to show the planet that this shadow organization that the federal governments of the world are trying to keep secret, exists and is causing chaos.

So be satisfied with "we dont know and its probably not important"
but in the story i'm sure Akande and Widowmaker know way more about being wanted criminals in the year 2076 than we do
I grew up Horde, and as a proud orc shaman I cant understand these people. "ooh we blew up your city and killed everyone you care about but thats no reason to be angry" "oh we destroyed your entire country and murdered your son, but get over it" "Oh we invade foreign countries and melt, torture and mind control our victims but the Alliance were negligent and accidentally sent Tauren into dangerous territory. THEY are the evil ones" The players hate hypocrites more than murderers

Talon intended a heist on a highly secure facility (the museum), even today that would require taking out the security systems and cameras to erase your presence. In a dystopian future with even more advanced technology, and more use and reliance on said technology - knocking out the cameras before you do a heist would be even more important. Talon is clearly not incompetent, so it's unreasonable to assume they didn't take out the security before breaking into the museum: especcially given we now know they have Sombra, a world-class hacker, on staff.

Also, it's a dystopian future, tattooed purple ladies don't stand out, because everyone is a tattooed purple lady in the future. More specifically, Widowmaker's skin is blue because she's genetically modified, which means cosmetic genetic modification is a thing in this universe. It stands to reason that you would see a lot weirder things on a daily basis.

Also worth noting that despite being a prima ballerina once, she likely wasn't blue back then, it's been at least a decade or two since those days, and she doesn't present herself that way anymore: namely she's more muscular than a ballerina now (dem thighs), she looks like she's going to stab you with her stare, she has Sith Lord yellow eyes now, she's covered in tattoos, oh, and she's blue now: not to mention that I bet no one reading this could point out a random prima ballerina on the street even if they were fresh off the stage.

Oh - and also she had a mask when she was on the rooftop - so she didn't show up with her face exposed. And she's in a casino run by terrorists: so even if they do recognize her, they probably aren't exactly going to call the cops (oh, and they do, because they send security).

It's been 7 years since she was turned, it was referenced in Uprising. Just for the record, also she's 35, so two decades would have made her 15...
