A lot of you seem to be mistaking the extreme speed up of "hit paint [few seconds later] paste, select area, crop, save" as oppose to the loading of 100 fonts and a library the size of congress of other options.
Paint is for tossing in a screenshot to screw with in a hurry. Gimp/Photoshop is for actually editing. This would be like giving up a motorcycle for one that requires you to get off and crank it with a front-lever everytime you want to drive around.
