No, they really don't. Im sure @Lathais will grace us with the RAM link (or i will when i get home), but the difference between 4, 8 and 16GB of RAM, WITH 60+ Chrome tabs and other applications open in the background was.... Within he margin of error. Its inconsequential. And especially on the older DDR3 platforms, speeds past 1333 provide almost no tangible benefit to gaming. Nor does dual or quad channel matter except in a VERY few use cases, and gaming is NOT one of them.
Theres literally no reason to upgrade his RAM.
Investing in faster DDR3 is throwing money in the trash.
