ignoring the stupid notion that human activity is not in fact natrual, age alteration technology is already "happening" and will most likely be available in our lifetime.

But it's not about what he want. It's about what SHE wants.

Aren't women free to do what they want or not ? Sure their parents must not be very proud of that, but it's outside their control. Nobody is exploited here.

It might be a cat and mouse game but we need to go all out to avoid having kids be exploited.

What do you think should be done about this? Have you been to Japan and seen this activity first hand? Does it also occur where you live?

    Nah, not even with that...

Well, the law states that sex with under 13-year olds is illegal if you are not married, and the minimum age of marriage for women is 16.

Harnessing lightning and using it to communicate with people on the other side of the glove is unnatural. So stop doing it.

Not required if you're on private property with the owner's permission.

Well, it's kind of right and wrong.

I understand and sympathise it's harrowing to know that this happens to underaged girls and consent ignored but you see the opening example where a 17 year old seems very much in control of it all... She has not 1 but 2 clients, definitely indicating that she knows what is happening and quite confident in doing it... Not to mention, it seems pretty obvious her client is not only paying for a slice of cherry pie but the room as well to do it in. The opening doesn't seem to really suggest that the hotel employees have notified the authorities if they walk out and she continues onto her next client. I can't really sympathise on that particular instance. If anything, she's using it for her own gain and exploiting her customers. Especially if they can earn crazy amounts of Yen from it.

I have to wonder if sometimes you feel like the catcher in the rye. I do sometimes. I think I'm just really old inside.

You didn't read the article. Only in 2 prefectures(essentially mini states in Japan) it's illegal. It isn't in Osaka the one you kept bolding in the OP.

I was going to make a valid post, but then I saw it was a tennistard thread. My bad.

Bottom line is, if they do it on their own, who the fuck cares?

This is a very misunderstood number. While the national age of consent is defined as 13, in practical terms this is meaningless. Every prefecture has it's own age of consent defined, which is generally 16-18 I believe.

So the point is, if its legal then leave them alone, if its not, arrest them. Wouldn't you agree? Now that you bring it up, what IS the age of consent in the prefecture that Osaka is in?

Well then, seems like really it's not down to the employer and employee if these places actually help offer the services... And really why not. It's profit in the end.

Also, it adds revenue into the local areas and government, that once would have been fed directly into the black market/criminal elements.

It is kind of like the prohibition of alcohol in the US, it didn't work. All it did was create a criminal market, there are people that want to be apart of that, and will do so if it is legal or illegal. The problem is when it is illegal is where you run into issues of those who work in the industry might be a child, forced into working, or even cases of rape that they feel they are unable to report because they were committing an illegal act themselves.
This is exactly what needs to happen to kill the drug cartels as well. Set up legal alternatives and people won't buy the illegal stuff and the cartels will lose a shitton of their power.
