Well from my perspective of playing DK, a good frost mage in infuriating to play against, it is very hard to get any melee uptime on them. Locks and Boomkins also do a lot of damage but dont kite quite as well as Mages.

Burst is fine, it's just that classes that rely on actually having to cast are screwed.
Gap closers should be something that you use at the right moment, not something that's almost always up (looking at you DH's)
All casters need support. The ones that need less support like frost mages, feel more independent. SP needs support especially if they are getting jumped. Boom and mages have good m obility and escapes. Locks tend to be more tanky than SPs but both tend to get totally shut down against a couple of melees. SP is fun ye. But a total.nightmare without peels.
Every season of every expansion forums fill up with posts about how its meleecraft and casters have it bad, well people ! stop playing casters! why would you want to roll a caster if they are crappy in pvp ?
