Alt-left, I am so disappointed in you.
fairly frequently.
Either via webbing my fingers together and then sharply pulling them down and apart or the classic "getting ready for a brawl" grinding them against my palms then cracking the second knuckle joints manually.
also my neck. it's apparently really loud. Just don't feel right if one side pops and the other doesn't.

Necro thread, wonder how many people died from cracking their knuckles in the last year! I do it quite often, have to loosen up my hands to play guitar or I feel like I'm using a pair of rusty old claws. I have to stretch them too, it relieves tension and feels good. I don't know what long term effects it might have but so far I'm not dead yet and my hands haven't fallen off or seized up.

I crack my knuckles all the time. Sometimes my back too.
Yeah, the popping as far as I am aware has nothing to do with the joints themselves but rather by carbon dioxide cavitation bubbles or something like that.
I mostly do it if I have been sitting at the computer, written or doing something else repetitive to "loosen" my fingers.
I can also crack my big toes by simply curling and flicking them upwards much to the chagrin of my SO who thinks the sound is disturbing
