    Question $20 (USD) Challenge

    Alright here is the challenge.

You get $20.00 (USD) or whatever that converts to where you are the challenge is to spend it on food sustenance and nutrition to survive off for a week.

So maybe get pencil or pen simple piece of scratch paper and write down the things you would get, make a list like a shopping list, then maybe price check on the items you would get, and post how much it came to.

    Coupons are allowed.

(Rules: No Warehouse shopping this includes the ones with membership fees, cards or no cards, also no special hook ups not I know a guy who knows a guy. You can hustle per say all you want but the purpose of this challenge is to see if you can survive off $20.00 getting only the things you need, so no charities or churches either, no foodstamps or any other kinds of aide, no borrowing from friends or eating somewhere else for that week)

    After:

So did you do it did you make it 7 days and 7 night on $20.00?

    If not why not?

How close did you get and what was your total?

Farmers Market for fruits and vegetables. Water to drink. Done.

I had to do this once in the past. Not the most appetizing diet, but it is healthy and cost effective.

    This.

No rules stipulating it needed to be healthy.

A 10lbs bag of rice is like $5. It would be simple.

spend it on food sustenance and nutrition to survive off for a week. That doesn't need to be a rule that is the actual challenge.

Tap water to drink. Cost nothing.

A pack of toast + a pack of butter + a pack of processed cheese for breakfast and dinner. Cost 4 Euro.

Seven random noodle / canned / frozen meals for lunch. Cost 12-16 Euro.

    Easy.

Yeah, no, I've lost that this. Even though I am a hawk at bargains, there is no way I can handle with 20 dollars. I could do it smoothly with 40, then again, my country is pricy. Though, can try.

    20 dollars = 126 dkk (125,95 kr.)

Bread for 1 week, there is a 'save the food campaign in denmark as permanent, so.

    1x Bread bag = 30 kr.
    2x Milk = 10 kr. (5 kr. pr. 1 liter).
2x Mince meat = 40 kr. (20 kr. pr. pack).
    2x Spaghetti = 10 kr. (5 kr. pr. pack).
3x Cold cut meat = 15 kr. (5 kr. pr. pack)
    1x Cheese = 10 kr.
2x Pasata (tomato sauce) = 10 kr. (5 kr. pr. bottle).

Total used but wouldn't be fully satisfied; 125 kr. or, 19,85 USD.

Could make it cheaper, but then I wouldn't get any hunger sated.

Even then in many areas where I live well water has to run through a water softener to make it drinkable. I don't know if it's like that everywhere or not but it will cost you a bag of water softener salt and the electricity for the pump. This is assuming it's not an old fashion well with a bucket.
