Anyone else get a Medivh vibe from Xe'Ra?

So I just watched Illidan reject the Light Mother's ''gift'' and cast aside his destiny, and during the entire cutscene, I kept getting the same vibe as I got watching from Medivh in Khadgar's Harbinger video, anyone else with me on this one? Anyone else think it might be actually be some sort of demon, manipulating us all into letting the Legion corrupt Illidan?

I just feel like the dreadlord in the cinematic above, and Xe'Ra were equally pushy in their attempt to get Khadgar and Illidan to accept the gift they offered, and binding Illidan to force the gift upon him doesn't seem like something a being of pure good would do.

I don't know, it's kind of fishy to me.
