PC build advice for lower end gaming

Looking to build a desk top for my daughter. All she really plays is minecraft/sims etc... Not sure on the build of the months lists which i should target for this.

Budget $750 ish can go higher if needed
Games / Settings Desired: Minecraft/sims 4 other games of similar quality nothing high end.
Any other intensive software or special things you do: Nothing. Just using for basic gaming and school work.
    Country: USA
Parts that can be reused: None fresh build
Do you need an OS? yes
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? yes

Thank you for any help offered.

EDIT: Im very interested in a small set up if possible in this budget. Mini case etc..

I would recommend 250GB SSD over HDD, it's only 16$ more

Is there room in a mini case to have both? One as a boot drive other for storage?

The one in Thunderball's build has room for 2x2.5" and 2x3.5" so you could fit 4 drives

The case can fit it but it's gonna inevitably push your budget up.

I wouldnt recommend going with both an SSD and a HDD for that kind of a build. Simply put it's a waste of money. If 240GB is enough for all the data go with an SSD, otherwise go with a hybrid drive.

SSD 256GB is more than enough for running OS and installing drivers. Add another 1TB HDD and you're off these questions for about a year, until another HDD needed.
