What's up with all the double posts?

Seeing more and more double posts and it seems to be increasing. Why are people double posting?

There have been several times when I post something that it will post it twice for some reason. I only click the button once and then the page takes a few seconds to load. Sometimes it doesn't even load and asks me if I want to stay on the page. Kind of like when I try to exit out while I have something typed down and not submitted yet.
