I think it would have done much better job if they hadn't tried to label people as winners and losers. Everyone has something they're particularly good at. It may not make them millionaires. Where would the world be without really good plumbers? Covered in shit, that's where .

I think Academy of Ideas is a much better philosophy channel. School of Life is kinda off the rails.

If you dub 99% of the general population as "losers", then yes, i'd pretty much prefer living in a country for "losers" anytime.

OP video is more British oriented.

In the US a poor person is likely to have air conditioning, PS4, wide screen TV, refrigeration, indoor plumbing, a car, own their own house, etc.

Material stuff is cheap in the US, with the exception of shelter.

The video was saying Loser countries are better for losers to live in than winner countries. Once you start making over 200k a year (less if you are single like I am) The winner counties are the better deal. If all the people who earn a lot decided to move out of the loser countries because they got tired of supporting all the losers, they are in big trouble. You can only tax people so hard until they leave or just decide to stop working.

Pretty sure video was made as sarcasm.

It's a click baity title. He's not really using winner and loser in the context of 'better' and 'worse' as a reference for ranking countries. Overall message is fine, but his choice of terminology will bite him in the ass as people typically don't read/watch the whole way through.

Yeah, odds, like playing the lottery. False equivalency. It is a bit rich for someone like this to talk about not understanding statistics like your path in life is some randomly determined event. On that note we should all just stop trying because it is all lucky anyway, right?

Vid is a typical socialist circle jerk trying to attack people with principles.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Winner countries also seem to produce the majority of the worlds scientific and technological breakthroughs because there is more motivation to try to do so.

If everyone was extremely happy and comfortable would anyone seek to invent or think outside their happy comfortable box anymore?

In Greece, The schools are free. Universities are free. Hospitals are free. It is a country for losers according to the video
There is no such thing as a free lunch.

    The end.
