Hanzo - Ranged Assassin - Overwatch Hero

    Background

The Shimada family was established centuries ago, a clan of assassins whose power grew over the years, enabling them to build a vast criminal empire out of Hanamura that profited from lucrative trade in arms and illegal substances. As the eldest son of Sojiro Shimada, the family's head, Hanzo was bound by duty to succeed his father and rule the Shimada empire. From a young age, he was trained for that responsibility, displaying a natural aptitude for leadership and possessing an innate understanding of strategy and tactics. He also excelled in more practical areas: he was a prodigy in martial arts, swordplay, and bowmanship.

Upon the death of his father, the clan elders instructed Hanzo to straighten out his wayward younger brother, Genji, so that he, too, might help rule the Shimada empire. When his brother refused, Hanzo was forced to kill him. Unbeknownst to Hanzo, however, Genji narrowly survived the attempt with the help of Overwatch. This act broke Hanzo's heart and drove him to reject his father's legacy, ultimately leading him to abandon the clan and all that he had worked so hard to attain. Seeing this as betrayal, the clan declared Hanzo an enemy and assassins were sent time and again to kill him.

what are you even talking about

also his ult is from overwatch
Romance doesnt detract from a story. Its a Genre, like horror or comedy or adventure. The game was ruined when we got Horror in drustvar or nazmir. It wasnt ruined when we had funny quests. So if you think a little man on man love ruins the game, then yes you are either a homophobe or just a spoil sport that goes "ewww kissing is yucky" like a baby. Furthermore, if a character has never expressed interest in any gender, then its not proof they are straight. straight people are not the default

Let's be real here, if they wanted originality they wouldn't have gone with Hanzo. He has to be one of the more dull OW characters.

Ashe ult was stolen from Mirana. Actually most of LoL was stolen from DotA.

    So pls.

...which came from Warcraft 3, a Blizzard game.

Yeah but the long range skillshot was a DOTA thing. Point is, LoL didn't invent it.

Let's not argue about whose idea first it was to have a piece of wood shot through the air to land on a faraway target.

They kinda hinted at that during yesterday's panel when they said that they would have 75 heroes in the game by the time Hanzo releases.

Oh, didn't bother to count at the time. I would definitely play Alex if I was still actively playing the game, but meh.

    I'm a Hanzo Main.

Cooldowns and mana costs added to the OP.

Wasn't really interested in Hanzo but then I saw a blood elf skin. I guess this is the closest I can get to Warcraft 2 ranger unit in HotS so I will take it!

But the order of heroes on the battle.net suggest Hanzo is next. I'm kinda confused now.

wouldnt say the game is being ruined.

but the whole HYPERMOBELETEH/get out of jail free card thing that almost every OW champion seems to get is just plain out annoying considering all the other franchise champions got nothing alike, and very little to counter it.

  20. #20
To be fair, it's not like only OW heroes are part of the mobility creep. Let's remember the state of the game at its start, and what heroes came through. People hate OW heroes being added, because, exactly because they are from OW, they all have at least one mobility ability.

That's the case unless they are Orisa of course.
