So for 9 Bucks a year...

I can get a badge no one will notice and pay to remove the terrible ads that get reported (I have personally reported at least one) and should be removed anyway?

Even your parent company has a better premium system set up on Twitch... even Discord has a better system.

    How about things like;

    Animated Avatars?
    Increased Avatar File Size Limit?
    Double Signature Length?

Like no offense to ya'll, I bet you work hard but I have volunteered on bottom tier RP Forums that managed to do that stuff, for half as much money per year as well...

All which cost way more than 9$/y.

Is the mmo offer really basic ? Yep

Is it cheap as fuck ? Yep (9$ is basically my morning coffee in Switzerland). I like to pay what I consumme on the internet as long as it's worth the price. Take my money MMO-C.

It's an insignificant amount of money to remove ads and support a shitty forum. Of course you can just run adblocker, but like I said, it's for people who want to support the forum.

Of course, they'd probably stand to get more people tossing them cash if they did offer better incentives, such as animated avatars, custom titles, etc.

I rather try it first free to see if it's worth it.

The premium subscription on this site is competing directly against extensions that block ads. Both serve the same function, but the premium subscription is the only one to have a cost.

It comes down to whether you believe the badge is worth $9 per year, and whether you trust MMO-Champion with your payment info.

Something that would help incentivize paying the premium subscription is:
    >Hiding threads created by users on your block list

I did instantly. Not because any of the features it gives, but I just remembered how much I visit MMO-Champion and how much they are giving me, for free, already for many many years. They always are up-to-date, have a clear and full overview of the newest information and trying to improve. They just have the full package and aren't begging, I like that.

It's also nice they aren't eliminating any things for non-paid users. Much love to you guys, you deserve it!

For the countless hours of entertainment I've gotten from this site it's easily worth 9 bucks/year. Turning off my ad blocker here for the first time in years also felt pretty good. I couldn't care less about the banner.

Thanks for the feedback. This is the very first iteration of the system. FWIW when comparing us to Twitch, MMO-Champion has 1 full time dedicated employee, just me.

I don't want to take away any existing features from users, so animated avatars being a perk isn't going to happen. File size limit is something I'll think about, but I don't want to slow down page load times for users. Same goes for signature length, making people scroll more isn't ideal.

Yup, I'm aware. The Premium feature is a way for people that want to support the site to do so. The payment page has SSL, credit card information is also processed with form fields in an iframe, hosted by Braintree. Your credit card information never even passes through our servers.
