Sexual assault is sexual assault, but sexual harassment is too subjective that can be easily abused and fabricated... so no.

Though we're talking relatively low-end stuff overall, here, in terms of criminal infractions.

If we're just talking about Danny from work shouting "nice tits!" at the new girl in the office, then I'd agree that shouldn't be criminal, just handled in the office administratively.
You literally showed why it's not a problem.

We already have Criminal harassment in the UK, we don't need a special snowflake term for women who can abuse it to all hell.

    Good luck proving that.

    Nope I’m not.

But going up to someone and saying “Sex me up or get fired” seems kinda shitty. Although I guess that’d be wrongful dismissal or something.

No, speech is just speech and should be protected sexual or not. If getting propositioned or catcalled triggers you then grow the fuck up you snowflake. Groping aka sexual assault is a different matter.

Also thank god I don't live in these countries with weak as shit constitutions.

Why'd you make it about gender out of nowhere? Sexual harassment laws are gender agnostic.

Harassment is already a crime. No need to specialize.
All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

Because the OP is gendered to all fuck.

You have a woman's advocacy group arguing that Sexual harassment should be a criminal charge on the grounds that 2/3rds of women are "Sexually Harassed"

This stands only to benefit women because Sexual harassment is mostly used as a power play tool for women.

I'd let a super fat ugly chick sexually harass me and not call the cops on her, but I'd at least want to be able to tell her fat ass to go away without getting accused of sexual harassment myself.

Sure, why not, might put a stop to misogynist men.

    Too subjective.
What someone might call harassing another may not.
Almost like the rules on this forum.

But not women? That is where the problem lies.

Personally I find this difficult - I don't think sexual harassment outside of work should be punishable but there definitely needs to be a point before sexual assault that is, such as sexually threatening behaviour or consistent inappropriate touching for both sexes
Isn't it...? Pretty sure you can get convicted for it... Maybe it's just in my country.

    Absolutely.

The problem with a law like this is that people have different thresholds and classifications for what constitutes harassment never mind whether or not it's of a sexual nature and considering the recent culture of triggering, the ease of "cry wolf" style attacks and he said, she said arguments with little no evidence it would be fairly difficult to create a credible law covering sexual harassment. Certainly there are cases which stand out and should be dealt with via law e.g. unwanted delivery of images of a sexual nature, dogged pursuit of sexual favours in inappropriate context or situations or constant inappropriate communication of a sexual nature would definitely fit the bill but something like Catcalling, how someone looks at you and non-invasive touching are also the sorts of thing people think should come under such a law and frankly shouldn't.

So if you got accused of Sexual harassment at your workplace right now, there wouldn't be a full blown official inquiry?

Not in America. They can't do anything about it. I don't do it, but I enjoy knowing I can. Cops in my area are actually extremely nice.

I did actually do it once while hammered drunk and then immediately fell back in my bar stool and onto the ground when I was 21. The cop helped me up and even let me stay at the bar. The local PD are pretty great.

Well, in the UK it's perfectly legal too, but the Police officer is just as entitled to tell you to fuck off.
