I'd imagine Classic is well along by now, but implementations of RealID, launcher, store and website are where the problems are right now.

Disarm now correctly removes the targets’ arms.

"The Special Counsel did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple. offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign."
Yeh they finished it 5 years ago, they're just sitting on it unreleased essentially wasting money for no reason at all.
Blizzard have announced lots of things at early stages, some of which failed to materialise.
This isn't new, simple as that.
If it were that far progressed, then something like faithful classic vs frankenstein classic (borrowed from another thread) wouldn't need to be a discussion.
Oh boy, conspiracy theories!
What would Blizzard even gain from lying about this?
Maybe you have spent a bit too much time with your patients while studying.

On the contrary, I think they're far more behind than we know.
I wouldn't expect a release until at least early 2019.
At some point during BlizzCon, it came out that they had discovered a way to make Classic servers compatiable with their new systems. It is not so, that theyjust "think" that they can make it work. I can't remember who said it, though.
Not trying to be rude OP, you might actually be right. It's just that I can't help but notice how people who study psychology often act like they know everything about everyone else's background and thoughts, only to see how wrong they are once they learn the true story . It's not about you in particular, it's just that it happened with a lot of people that I know, and I always smile when I think about that ,-)
From the Eurogamer interview:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-big-questionsHas Blizzard maintained a relationship with the people behind the unofficial legacy servers? I know the Nostalrius guys visited Blizzard at one point.
J. Allen Brack: We've talked to Daemon and Viper, the leads for that project, a handful of times since that visit.
Do you see them being more heavily involved in WOW Classic?
J. Allen Brack: We would welcome their involvement, for sure. I think one of the challenges is that they're both French and so there's a little bit of a visa concern, but we'd be open to it. They're very passionate and strong Blizzard fans, clearly.
