I work in a job that deals with the public as much as someone in retail would, my company offers online options to eliminate or absolutely minimize employ and customer interaction and provide better deals online and speed up the process. Yet we have a retarded amount of people who give excuses after excuse about how they dont do computers, they cant figure out the internet, its to hard, we are scamming them [ yet they still order]. Me and my co-workers are not grumpy as shit when dealing with people, we are grumpy when we have to deal with people that can get things done cheaper and faster via our website or app yet dont for absolutely stupid reasons.

Ive been tempted to get a job in retail, guess ill just fucking not, holy shit. I dont got much patience with human stupidity, thanks for posting this as an warning to anyone considering to apply for an job in retail.

That's not including the asshole managers and supervisors who only see you as a wage slave with no life outside your job. On late shifts, which closes the doors at 8pm, we have 15 minutes to clean and tidy up for the next day, so it's a rush to get out on time. But more often then I can count, supervisors and managers leave the front door locked on us late shifters, leaving us unable to get out the building and catch our ride home.

I listen to Christmas music all year long. Its the only kind of music I listen to anymore. Too many music artists these days are anti-American socialist scumbags. Just this year we seen Katy Perry, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Snoop and so many others go political, disrespect our President, and get added to my blacklist.

As someone who never participates in Black Friday, I remember shaking my head at how much people were getting suckered when my managers told me how it all works. Then when it rolled around, I very quickly lost my pity and went into anger at how petulant people are over that crap. What a nightmare.

People are just idiots. Those "doorbusters" are usually last years model of TV or a shitty no name brand like Sceptre. Also those people who wait outside for 12 hours for the store to open should have just went to work, they would have earned more money working than they save on that shitty TV

Nah, for if you're in a fair country, you'll get a lot higher pay. After your shift ends, it'll increase with 50%, then after a certain amount of time, another 50%

Thats fine .. more and more customers will go online then there will be need for fewer and fewer retail positions ... in a few years you will wish they had a job for you and woopse you were bitching about customers and no longer have a job because we all went online and got tired of dealing with unsatisfied retail workers.

Or more places like the amazon store will come and again eliminate the need for these positions, thank god for automation .. I cant wait for the day I no longer have to deal with grumpy workers.
