Weapon that get's you out of CC

Somewhere i've read or heard that pre TBC many warriors had a weapon that they equipped before they got cc'd, and this weapon dealt damage over time to the equipper, and by this damage the cc break.
Is this something just in my dreams, or is this for real? can u still do this, and does anyone know what weapon this might be. THX

Only in your dreams my friend, afaik ashbringer didn't break cc at all.

It was changed though a while ago.

As far as I know it still works the same way, but yeah, the 60% health cost makes it unsuited to just use it as a preemptive cc breakere.
