The site to signup for the Friend & Family Alpha is available and I guess we can consider that the alpha officialy started. As a reminder this is restricted to Blizzard's employees and their friends/family and it's not public in any way, you won't get any mail related to this phase of the beta.

The page is secure and everything checks out from what I can see.

Wow clearly states in all their medium they will never ask for password information... That page is not secure lol , THEY DONT ASK FOR PASSWORDS! When will people get it through their heads Blizz will never ask for password information, and its Clearly states on their MAIN PAGE. Secure World of Warcraft web pages that ask you for your account name and password will generally have URLs that begin with "https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/". The site begins with https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/, and your account name and password are REQUIRED to do any major action to your account.
