WotLK - Achievement System

I think the achievement system is by far the best feature of WotLK so far - it doesn't disrupt the rest of the gameplay and there's a lot of categories, so that it doesn't matter if you do PvP, PvE or RP if you want to achieve something. I'll be having lots of fun getting explorer titels.

Yes, it looks like the 360's achievement system. Doesn't mean that's a bad thing.

In fact, this sounds like a great idea for WoW.

Does it mean that I will have to visit these places all over again when the achievement system arrives? Or will I get those achievements right away

This is what's supposed to bring me back to play from 70->80? Achievements!?

Apparently blizz hasn't realized that grinding gets old even when there's rewards.. but grinding gets outright RETARDED when there isn't even a reward, which is what it seems with achievements.

As far as I know they only said "retroactively" in relation to the Feats of Strength. And those are all easily awarded as they involve stuff in your bank (like vanity pets) or reputation.

Awarding all the normal achievements (like, say, having killed Ragnaros with a partical char) would mean admitting they must have been keeping records of everything you've ever done in the game. Which I don't believe they do. And if they do, they probably won't admit it due to privacy issues and such I guess...

is anyone certain that these achievements will have to be redone( i.e. kill onyxia again when WOTLK comesout) or not? any word from blizzard or just pure guessing?
