This is quite frankly sickening to me. Vimeo is just another major online media outlet deciding that video games aren't worth their time. Supporters of this decision commenting on vimeo's website are citing reasons like "we want videos that people actually put time and effort into." Yet anyone whos ever played a game seriously, ESPECIALLY world of warcraft, will know that many of the things depicted in WoW videos take countless hours of time and effort to achieve in game. Things such as downing difficult bosses, putting out record damage numbers, even pvping with exceptional skill...those videos all have a place on the internet and im sure that theyre creators are saddened by the news. Granted there ARE pointless videos that dont show any creativity or effort, but those are present in any genre of videos, not just video game videos.
