What the hell are you talking about?

Clearly, if hes switching from holy -> shadow, its very unlikely hes anywhere near 1400dmg.

1646 dmg, 338 haste raidbuffed. (look at me, i'm also dropping my stats into a reply, serving no purpose to the thread or any of its replies)

The stats are related to the standard stupid argument "Get FSW, it got most damage before T6".

It's extremly easy to obtain better gear from raiding and badges , it'll just have less damage but more haste than FSW.

But if people wish to waste their gold, be my guest.

crit and spirit become important in WotLK

    so no, don't do it..

i think the tier 5/6 armor will be better for WotLK because it has spirit and (lol) crit.. whereas FSW has neither

Re: Is Frozen Shadowweave set worth making for levelling in Wrath?

If you are currently holy, you might just want to make Primal Mooncloth. My priest has both full Primal Mooncloth and Frozen Shadoweave. With the changes in healing gear I am just going to use my Primal Mooncloth to level in.

    In WoTLK:

    Primal Mooncloth
    Intellect: 48
    Spirit :46
    MP/5: 25
    Spell Power: 156
    2 Yellow Sockets
    2 Blue Sockets

    Frozen Shadoweave
    Stamnia: 66
    Intellect: 44
    Shadow Spell Power: 179
    3 Yellow Sockets
    3 Blue Sockets

So you lose 66 stamnia, 23 shadow damage, 1 blue and 1 yellow socket but you gain 4 intellect, 46 spirit, and 25 MP/5.

I really don't care about the stamnia. The spirit and set bonus of the Primal Mooncloth are nifty for leveling. So that is why I am going to use it instead. It also allows more flexability.

Re: Is Frozen Shadowweave set worth making for levelling in Wrath?

    an edit for the above

    In WOTLK
    Primal Mooncloth
    Intellect: 48
Spirit :46 Which equals 15 spell power (22 for 8 secs after a crit)
    MP/5: 25
Spell Power: 156 =171 with spirit talents
    2 Yellow Sockets
    2 Blue Sockets

    Frozen Shadoweave
    Stamnia: 66
    Intellect: 44
    Shadow Spell Power: 179
    3 Yellow Sockets
    3 Blue Sockets

So you lose 66 stamnia, 8 or 0 after a crit shadow damage, 1 blue and 1 yellow socket but you gain 4 intellect, 46 spirit, and 25 MP/5.

since you'll be grinding the extra spirit will help with spirit tap and the spirit will regian faster, so IMO Primal wins...

In short, If your a raiding HOLY priest with a good epic healing set, it'll become an IMBA Shadow grind set when the spell power and talent changes come in.

Doesn't really mater, a Shadow with T6 has about 5% Crit on gear which isn't much assuming about 10% base crit and 10% form talents. Imp Spirit tab istn't so imba while lvling, because you get many Killing blows which make Spirit much more valuable. To be Honest i wouldn craft the set, after a short time u will get similar good items and the money u safe can be much unsefuller at lvl 80.

The standard, yet correct argument that FSW is the best before T6 content.

    http://shadowpriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9844

    Chest upgrades: Vashj+
    Boots upgrades: Felmyst only
    Shoulder upgrade: T6+

All of those values assume 1400 shadow damage (to give a fair haste representation), which is unlikely if FSW is the best available to you
