    challenge: shadowpriest glyphs

The challenge is as follows. Using only the announced priest glyphs, pick 6 (ignoring whether they be greater/lesser/minor) that are even remotely beneficial often enough to be worth spending money.

note, imp SWP for grinding low level instances with 1 level rank lower dot per mob isnt counted as usefull

Assume for a second shadow priests will be needed in instances

    Situational PvP:
Glyph of Mass Dispel 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Reduces the mana cost of Mass Dispel by -20%.
Glyph of Inner Fire 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Your Inner Fire has 10 additional charges.
Glyph of Fear Ward 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Reduces cooldown and duration of Fear Ward by 30 sec.
Glyph of Dispel Magic 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Your Dispel Magic also heals your target for 3% of maximum health if it removes a damaging effect
Glyph of Psychic Scream 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Increases the duration of your Psychic Scream by 3 sec.

    General & Pve:
    # Glyph of Mind Flay 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Increases the range of your Mind Flay spell by 5 yards but it no longer reduces the target's movement speed.
    # Glyph of Shadow Word: Death 01 (Priest) (Class: Priest) - Targets below 35% health take an additional 5% damage from your Shadow Word: Death spell.

Granted only 2 of them are necessarily shadow exclusive any of those would have some benefit. Just be patient man, these are only part of what is to come.

the fear ward one is super making you basicly impossible to fear if you are undead ^^

they dont have one for MB, VE, or VT. im guessing they will add a glyph to at least one of those.

    i can see it now

Glyph of Vampyric touch: reduces the cast time of vampyric touch by 1 second but no longer restores mana
Glyph of Mind Blast. Reduces cooldown of Mind Blast by 1 second but causes huge amounts of threat (aka old style)
Glyph of Vampyric Embrace: increses healing done by Vampyric embrace by 5%, consuming your Shadow Word: Pain

sucky ideas, who would ever want any of those then?
mind blast thingy could be useful in pvp only tho and the other two just suck

Glyph of fade will be very strong in PvP.

Given that Glyph of Mind Flay increases the spell power coefficient if will be very strong.

Glyph of SWD will be somewhat useful in both PvP and PvE.

Everything else is garbage, including Shadow Word Pain. How could they change the Imp. SWP talent and then drop this crap on us?

dispell one will be strong and glyph of fade will be stong incase it removes snares again when it proc but hard to tell.

All fade does is temporarily lowers your threat by a small amount. Roughly the equivilent of 2 SWP ticks or a heal crit.

Once fade expires, you get that threat back. Fade only breaks snares when it is cast. you do not become immune while under the affect of fade. Spell pushback is completely negated by the time fade is over.

there is absolutely no possible situation when this is usefull in any way shape or form

It is possible, that when the buff is refreshed it counts as being recast, hence removing all movement impairing affects. You can't be sure it won't be useful in pvp, but in pve it's fairly useless yes. Also, chances are pretty good that if you get hit during a raid you're gonna die anyhow, making a refreshed fade irrelevant.
