Enhancement pvp spec - No unleashed rage

So.. today ive looked at the talents a bit and have been wondering whether Unleashed Rage is really that important for PvP.

Basically the spec I have briefly made is one where you completely sacrifice Unleashed Rage to be able to get imp fire nova (and without Enhancing totems, but i dont tend to use SoE much due to tremor/earthbind.)

Im not saying this is an ideal pvp spec, Im just speculating as to whether it could be, and offering out the idea to other, possibly more experienced PvP shamans. who can judge it/make it better.

ill have to ask why you don't want unleashed rage?

This is my PvP spec: http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?sham...13353110201251

I`ve been thinking on something like this

    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/ba...00000000000000

allmost same as pve, but changed totem improvements
13 sec grounding and higher radius of earthbind

static shock is nice talent, 6% chance isn`t that bad

reveberation is nice, but if you glyph yourself with -1s cooldown on ES and +2s duration on FrostS it won`t be that necesary

imp fire nova is cool, but we have 2x slow without it, and that should be enought(dont forget we r getting Hex, which can be cast instantly with maelstrom)

next think, elemental focus, this talent will save loads of mana, and mana is what we`ll gona need more than we needed in tbc. More ghost wolf shifting, more spells cause of Malestrom, ....

touchness? what for? +10% armor means aprox +600 armor, and why would i spend 5 talent points to reduce slow duration, if i can easily remove it with instant ghost wolf

edit on your edit ;D :maybe you r right, this will need to be tested, theory isnt enough

I feel like no one understood this thread >.<
I made this thread for people to have a look at my speculation and comment on it and maybe change it to make it better, not to create their own random specs etc.

To Mirrel: Its not that I don't want Unleashed Rage, its that I'm wondering if we really need Unleashed Rage as a PvP talent. 10% more AP say if you have 2000AP without talents, you would have 2200AP... this I admit is like an AP trinket proc... but in PvP, surely the quick burst damage of Fire Nova that you get from the talent points is better than a bit more AP? Whilst I was elemental I put points into it (not in beta, in TBC) and it proved to be great burst, going off almost instantly and dealing 1000-2000 damage (1000ish normal, 2000ish crit). Now thats pretty painful, and with WotLK it will also slow everyones movement, which is a pretty nifty bonus.

Im not saying that Unleashed Rage is not needed in PvP, just wondering if it is or not. Ill gladly accept it if its not, but put some knowledge and proof into it if you are gonna go against it

i belive it comes down to the setup you are playing

Unleashed Rage is very very needed...don't skip it. It's a constant (nearly) 10% AP talent...even if it just affects you it's very nice to have.

    I would use:

    http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?sham...13350115201251

    For PvP.

Sacrificing 4% haste from WF totem and 6% hit is worth it imo. You should be able to hit cap yourself for PvP through gear/gems/chants. The 4% haste would be nice but I don't think it will outweigh 10% AP.

We'll be running close to 2k unbuffed AP in blue lvl 80 gear so a sustainable 200+ AP seems more beneficial to me than 4% haste that may or may not always be there...due to grounding totem.

Taking two points out of Anc Know and putting them into Earth's Grasp is also going to be important because of all the new knockback/jump back (disengage) abilities you will want Earthbind to cover as much ground as possible to help stay on target.

Other than those small adjustments that will probably be the cookie cutter enhancement spec. Either that or a 21/50 build sacrificing wolves for bigger shock/LaB crits. 50 Points in enhancement spreads the love pretty thin though, and will basically force you to lose any defensive CD decreases you may have.

I think it's really worth it. Since it should be almost activated at all times as Enh Shaman. Critting once every 10 sec shouldn't be to hard. Wouldn't take Imp Fire Nova Totem tho.
This is how my build will (probably, but always open for suggestions ) will look like:

12/59/0. Best way to go for pure Dps if you ask me.
