Orc or troll?

so with faction changes, i'm gona change my nightelf DK into a horde char, but not sure will i go orc or troll, orcs got the better racials but trolls are just cool :P

Trolls racials isn't too chabby. Haste is amazing.

But as orc you get an additional trinket plus increased pet damage.

Besides, orcs got better looks

Orc could quite possibly have the best look to them in the game when fully geared. Racials are great.

But...

If you want to be one of the thousands on your server that's an Orc, be my guest. If you want to stick out and be original, go Troll.

Just wait and see, I'd say 80% of DK's are Orc or BE. Mine is an Orc but it's not that cool when there are 5 other Orc DK's in your raid group. You don't see Trolls hardly ever.

Watch in the patch before Catacylsm, Blizzard will nerf orc racials and all the Orc DK's will whine and cry and demand a refund or free race change claiming they were wronged.

Orcs have the best racials in the game for a DK, Axe Expertise, which is handy considering most 2H Str Weapons are Axes, Blood Fury, free DPS trinket, +5% Pet damage for Unholy and finally 15% less stun duration if you're a PvP man. You'd have to really really really really like Trolls, to chose a Troll over an Orc as a DK.

Wrong. Those are the reputation conversions. You can pick any race that can be your class.

personally I'd go with what race I enjoy more since racials are being reworked at the end of this exp anyway for cata. So really all this orc have this vs troll means little

alternatively if you really wanna min max race change is comin out eventually just go orc and change to troll once the xp comes out if you want.

What will my troll MAGE become? A dwarf mage?
What will a draenei warrior become? A BE warrior?
What will an orc shaman become? A human shaman?
The faction change will go live before the next expansion, and even then, for example the human shaman will never be an option.

Axe expertise is overrated. You need very little rating to get 3 skill points. And besides that, getting exp is not hard and mostly comes with tier gear anyway.
Pet damage is nice, but mostly for unholy. The non-unholy ghoul is classified as guardian not as pet so it shouldn't get the bonus. And if it does, 5% over those 45seconds isn't noticable anyway.
-15% stun duration vs -15% movement slowing duration kinda equals in pvp, personally I'd prefer the movement one since basically all classes can slow, not all can stun
Free dps "trinket" vs berserking is very comparable as well, especially on dualwield builds.
Besides all this, trolls do 5% more damage versus beasts. There aren't that many beast bosses ingame but they do exist, a little plus to trolls.

I'm not saying troll is beter, I'm just saying that the "really really really really" part is really really really really exaggarated .

My opinion is always, chose whatever you think looks best and you think is most fun. Some people would pick an untextured globe if it would be best dps, some do care for what they're looking at.

If your a DK tank like me the % stam increase from Tauren is pimp. Warstomp is also a great addition to tanking to hold all the mobs in place giving time for a rune to come off CD.

Dps an orc will be highest.
