Frost DK tank build, feedback appreciated:)

Hey all

Currently i'm the main tank of my guild as my paladin, but since WoTLK changes prot paladins into warrior clones, it ruined that special feel for me...hence i thought it's time to reroll

Since i love the feeling of being unique in my way of tanking, i thought i'd give a DK a shot when WoTLK releases. I always had a big interest in the frost tree, so i thought i'd try make a frost DK tank build
I'd really like some feedback on it, keep in mind i don't have acces to the beta tho, i made the build around what i read on forums and personal tanking experience

I'm aiming to remain the main tank of my guild, so please check it out from that POV

Edit: I'm also thinking about rolling mining/Inscription as his main professions, mining for the sta bonus, and inscription for the bonus glyph slot, any advice for a better set of professions?

Looks pretty solid to me.

Another variation would be to exchange the points in Subversion for Merciless Combat and Deathchill (the latter might be nice to get some burst threat going at teh start)
But i think that the one you have is maybe even better.

i was doubting about the same thing, but i got the feeling i'll use obliterate and bloodstrike quite often, and a 9% chance to crit with both sounds pretty huge, and i think in the end it'd be more agro getting Subversion instead of deathchill

the only thing you might also want to take on Unholy is "Epidemic". Diseases 6 secs longer leaves you more time for aggro stuff etc. Didnt look into Frost which Points you could leave there, but you might want to take a look at that.

I experienced that the 2 points epidemic are almost a must in every build, since you dont need to PS, IT so often to keep the diseases up.

Epidemic is too nice to pass up, imo, and I like the idea of OB not getting rid of my diseases right away so I can focus on more aoe-type abilities(for trash) or more single-target damage (for bosses) before having to renew.

Group mob roatation-- DnD, HB, PS, Pes, maby a hungering cold in there to if im feelin generous. after that. do w.e you want.. there yours

Single mob/boss -- IT, PS, HS, Hs, Hs, BT, DnD (for good measure)

it works for me



Note: i learned how to tank in general on a warrior in BC, which means i used my tab and sunder keys alot. even though i play a pally and a DK tanks now i still use this stragity. after i have my AOE roatation down i still go threw each mob and use 1 or 2 moves depending on what class im on to make sure i have them on me. (I,E after AOE rotation, HS, DS, tab, Dump runic, tab, IT PS, Blood tap, pes, tab...ect..ect..) just thought id throw that in there ;] works for me
