Should I still get the S2 Mace for tanking?

I'm currently a few thousand honor away from getting the Merc Gladiator's Gavel for my tanking set. With 3.0 and wrath fast approaching, should I even bother, or just get an actual tanking weapon with the change to Paladin itemization.

I'd wait, 3.0 and WotLK are soo close, if anything just save the honor.
