has anyone considered doing a 2h'd/Hammer of Righteous build? 3 times main hand weapon dmg...wotlk ...not sure what the average swing will do, but my warrior is atm is shitty geared and he does over 1000 right now in season 2 gear..soo my guess is that in woltk the average will be over 1500dmg...so take that x 3... thats 4500 dmg in 3 seconds...thats how this ability works right?

stack this with corruption and consecration and i think you will be a plate wearing warlock...

i thought about it. it wouldve worked, i even made a spec for it too awhile ago. mass survivability + decent damage. ignore most of the 1h/threat crap

it does work with a 2h now, it used to explicitly say "required a 1h" but does not anymore

How would you keep your mana up?

Also, hammer of the righteous is 3 times the DPS of your mainhand weapon. So take one of the 2handers out there, let's say a heroic drop, around 170dps. That comes to 3x170 = 510 damage.

Were you looking at this for a DPS build? Or some kind of poor-man's DK 2h'er tanking build?

I say fail on both.

no it has not changed.... its dps, and yes, that still makes a 2h better for it

Right, but if you are looking at a DPS build, HotR will be very very poor. If you are looking to do DPS as a tank when you are not needed to tank at the time, then yeah, I can see this working, but you gimp your tanking to do it. If all you want to do is damage and not tanking, then this particular build is failing.

I guess what I am trying to say is: Spec to tank or dps, not both.

HotR can only be used with a 1h melee weapon, so no the build will not work with a 2h

Either way, just go down ret and get divine storm, itll do more damage than the tanking version.

what makes you think blizard has updated their tooltip as much as mmo? mmo's used to say 1h as well.
